Givens Ford

Early life

I was born and raised in Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe. Ever since I can remember, I have carried a holy fire that set me apart from everyone around me.

My spiritual awakening came early — a divine summons to work the Kingdom. This was not a career choice; it was a fire shut up in my bones. A prophetic mantle was draped over my life before I understood what a mantle even meant. That fire ignited an unquenchable passion to preach a Gospel that transforms the very marrow of the soul.

I learned early that the Word of God is not a collection of ancient fables. It is the living, breathing hammer that breaks the rock in pieces.

The Mandate

The early days of my ministry were not glamorous. I did a ton of groundwork because I just wanted to see souls saved and lives transformed by the Gospel.

February 2018 — Gathering Of Believers International Ministry (South Africa)
With nothing but a word from the Lord and a handful of hungry souls, the ministry was born in Cape Town. The foundation was humble but the vision was colossal: soul-winning, preaching to nations, and restoring hope. Through worship, conferences, and outreach, we equipped believers to walk in victory. The testimony "Cheer up Believer. The Word Works!" became a battle cry.

2023 — The Return & Gathering Of Believers International (Zimbabwe)
After seven years of spiritual formation in Cape Town, the Lord released us to return home. We did not return empty. We carried a mantle tested by fire and a blueprint forged in the trenches. Gathering Of Believers International (Zimbabwe) was born. The prodigal mantle had come home.

2026 — The Year of the Establishment
In a moment of deep consecration, my spiritual father gave a clear instruction: "You have been a prophet to the people, but now you shall be a Bishop" Prophet Givens Chizenga became Bishop Givens Ford. Not a rebrand. A spiritual re-genesis. The ministry also received a new name: Cornerstone Church. As the cornerstone sets the foundation, this season establishes a generation on the unshakeable rock of Christ Jesus.

Through my ministerial journey, I had several failures not listed above. I simply learned from those and kept moving forward.

Personal Life

I am happily married to my beautiful wife, Yollunda. She is super anointed and has a fierce commitment to intercession.

Together, we embarked on a journey that took us first to Cape Town, South Africa in 2016. It was a season of training and preparation. But the soil of Zimbabwe never left our spirits.

In 2023, the call to return became a command. We relocated back to our homeland, where the next chapter of the mandate was waiting.

I learned early that a public anointing must be sustained by a private altar. That truth anchors our family to this day.

Closing Note

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I know I have an inspiring story, but I want to inspire you in the right way.

Everything I say is from my personal experience with the Holy Spirit. None of the things I share on this platform will make you "spiritual overnight" — far from it.

Walking in the prophetic takes a lot of time, surrender, patience, and a relentless trust in God.

My goal is to share my experiences, lessons I learned, prophetic insights, and resources to help you build a victorious Christian life.

I hope that you encountered the heart of the Father in the story of this ministry.

Once again, thanks a lot for taking the time to read this. I look forward to connecting with you.
